Rolling back in Auto 2004 4Spd
Hi All - just bought a demo 2004 Mazda 6 Auto 4Sp Sedan - but I've now noticed a couple of things that make me wonder. Firstly (please help me out here) I noticed that the car will tend to roll backwards (fairly badly) on even moderate slopes when in drive. I've come from Nissan Pulsar Auto where I've never had any problems. I thought auto's were generally very good at holding position on hills - however, maybe this is make (torque converter) dependent. Does anyone else have this problem with their Mazda 6 - or is this normal.
Also - we're noticing a slight knocking sound (like plastic against plastic) coming from the back of our sedan. Can't identify where it's coming from though. Is this common? Overall - however, we really love the car. Just want to get it purrfect!

I dunno why your car is rolling back..... My 05 6S doesnt have that problem and i am on pretty good angled slopes in my area. I dont have to put the brake on alot of times and have yet to drift back unless the hill is steep. I'm sure someone can explain your situation..... i know for one i cant, i just drive the car haha.
