Default Racing Stripes

Whats up everyone!!!!!!! Just got my new, well used, but new to me, 2005 Mazda 6. So I can now join the group. I think it is hot, but would like some input on the racing stripes. The previous owner did a lot of stuff to this car, all I need to do is add rims. Sounds like a freekin V8. Love it. Ok back to the stripes. They were done very well, they are actually just stick on, so I could probably remove them. I really like them, but wonder it it would look better without. So what do you all think? Stipes or not. Oh yeah, do you think the paint underneath will be discolored?

I think they take away from the lines of the car, but to each his own.

As it's a silver car it shouldn't be very faded under the stripes.

As a rule, I like racing stripesif done properly... and it is your car so if you like them...all fine and good, but did you know that these are on the wrong side of the car for a left drive vehicle? The offset racing stripe was a way for the race car driver tojudgewhere the further edge (opposite the driver) of the car wasfrom the driver's seat.
Personal opinion (only I'm not to crazy about these stripe on this car, nor the way they were done. But as I said, if you like it, that's all that counts.
