Default quick question about the 6

I currently have a 2005 mazda 3 and was planning on trading it in for the 3.0L v6 mazda6. How do you guys like your 6 and how is the acceleration on them, are those suckers quick compared to the mazda3 2.0L?

I love mine and I dont have a V6, but my 2.3L I4 is pretty quick for the size it is. I wouldn't change anything about my mazda...I LOVE IT!

i really like my 6!... it's the 3.0L v6 and its got a good bit of kick in it!

when you put an intake on it, there is a very nice growl to it... personally, i think the look of the car (sport model) is amazing and doesn't need altered dramatically! mazda did a great job and the car is very spacious for my size (5'11"). plenty of trunk space as well as rear seating space and captain seat space. hell, my 6'4" friend has no problem sitting in my car.

Do a test drive and find out first hand. The V6 will be faster than your small 4, but the Mazda 3 is more nimble.

I tested drove both vehicles before I made a purchase, and was convinced that the mazda 6 was the best of the two. Some magazines (like Consumers Reports) make the mazda 3 a better pick, but that's partly because of the beter gas mileage.

i went the dealership to get my car 7500mi check up, and i asked a mechanic that worked there should i trade in my 3 for a 6 and he said "you know the 6 is not all thats its craked up to be, sure the V6 model has alot of potential but is poorly exectued, and yeah it quicker and there is more aftermarket availibilty for the 6 there have been to many complants, already we had to replace 3 motors, while the 3 has not been returned for any problems except for the occasional headlight adjustment, its not worth the trade in but if you already had the 6 to begin with...keep it" thats what he said.

do you happened to know what year those 6's were? I dont know. I've have my eye on the 6 before I bought the 3. I took the 3 cause my dealer mentioned it before we walked in to fill out paper works for the 6. It had power everything, alloy wheels, etc for about $16000 with 90 miles on it. Beside, I drive my family around a lot so we need more room in my car. The 3 is nice but the 6 would be more confortable for the 5 of us.

The 3 appears to have stronger residuals too, my guess is the intial lower sticker price but little discount being given. It is a newer model built on the current european focus chasis.

6 isnt super fast, think of the v6 as quick if pushed hard, but more of a smoother engine than the 4 pot.

I own both a Mazda6 wagon and a Mazda3i sedan. The 6 is a better family vehicle, the 3 handles better and is more suited to a commuter car (great mileage). I definitely have more fun driving the 3, the 6 is faster in acceleration (but not by much)
