Default Passeneger side window will not go up

Let the passenger down and when I tried to put it up it will not move no matter what control I use the driver or passenger side.

All it does is make a grinding sound like it is trying to go up. Sounds like perhaps a plastic gear is just spinning and not catching.

Looking on the internet could it be the motor or the motor/regulator?

Does not look like the motor would be hard to change but the motor/regulator looks like could be a challenge.

Thanks

I had the same problem on the driver window. It was an issue between the electric motor and the final plastic gear that sticks out of the assembly. There is a worm gear (like a big screw) in-between the two and that's what goes bad.

It was an easy fix, just a few bolts to take the motor assembly out and replace with a new one.

I did not have to change the rest of the assembly (cables and all) as those gears were in good shape. You just have to take the motor assembly out and check the shape of the gear.
