Parts Finder: Asked if its "A Vin or H Vin" Engine for 2.5L?
I just bough myself a 2010 Mazda 6i and I'm trying to do a tune up/replacing fluid and filters but every time I go to a parts store its asking if the 2.5L engine is an A Vin or H vin. I have no clue what the difference is or how to tell (My vin has A and H in it so that doesn't help) Vin = 1YVHZ8CHXA5M17665. Any insight would be much appreciated.
Have you asked them to see what the difference in parts are between the "A" & "H" variants?
I'm suspecting is Pre Facelift v's Facelift. I know they changed the oil filter from a cartridge to a spin on around 2010.
Thanks for the reply. That's what I thought as well. I compared the two with oil filters and there is no difference between the parts lists, get the same number of results and part #s. Both of them list spin on canister and internal oil filters on both pages. Mine is canister style.
