Question Oil light on Mazda 6 2.2d 163bhp 2011

Hi folks,

I've got an issue with my Mazda 6 2011 2.2d
My oil light started coming on the dash and disappear by itself after few minutes. I've checked the engine oil level via the dipstick and it seems to be okay.
Has anyone experienced that issue?
I am suspicious it might be the oil pressure sensor being faulty.
Any advices would be much appreciated.

More than 75% of the time it a bad oil pressure sender. However, in the shop we always confirm this by manually checking that there is proper oil pressure.
As with any services related to anything that sends a signal to the ECC/PCM,PCM etc. it prudent to scan the at least the 3 main information area's.

Hello Callisto,

Thanks for the feedback, I was wondering if by any chance I get to understand where exactly is located in oil pressure sensor on the engine, and try to replace the sensor with a new one as that might be the cheapest thing to do.
I've made a re-search in the internet, but unfortunately there is nothing for this engine, only for the next model sky-active..
