Default Need some help with broken display

I bought my 6i about 3 weeks ago. I noticed after a few days that the display didn't work right, parts of some numbers or letters didn't display right or at all. Then I did the throttle body grounding mod about 2 weeks ago. Now my display doesn't display anything, but the radio works. At around the same time, the green light for fresh air stopped working (the recirc light was broke when I bought the car I think).

Any ideas for what to do?

The display unit in my wife's 6 has been losing characters as well (94,000+ miles)

So this isn't just a fluke loose wire then, it sounds like the units go bad internally after several years?
