So is your vehicle affected by this recall or not? You can take your VIN# in to the dealership and they should be able to tell you. As far as Mazda needing to make an appointment. It's quite possible they are trying to arrange an engineer to review your vehicle. It doesn't do them any good to have an engineer available if the vehicle isn't.

As far as 3 dealers in 2 states....If you havea problem that can't get fixed, keep taking it back to the same dealer. If they cannot resolve the issue after 3 times trying, you would most likely qualify for lemon law and could get out of the car you are in and into a new one. If you keep changing dealers, the 3 count starts over.

Did your tire spontaneously blow up? Had you ever checked the tire pressure? Did you hit anything? I've shredded plenty of low profile tires here in Michigan due to pot-holes and the like, and I definitely see people running around with under-inflated tires. Was your tire replaced under warranty? On the seatbelt, has the dealer looked at this? Have they changed out the seatbelt retractor assembly?

 

WhenI first began to discover problems, I kept going to the same dealer--they kept insulting me and then offering me a free tank of gas but also kept asking me to return. This process lasted a total of 17 thats SEVENTEEN visits (more than enough to qualify for the lemon law) withno results. It was the Mazda company, where I was also repeatedly insulted, that suggested that I obtain a second opinion from a different dealer and then suggested that I return to yet another dealer.

I've put most of the miles that I have on my car going back and forth to the dealer. Ive gone,per the reccomendation of Mazda,during the times they suggestedto the locations they requested. My car only had 75 miles on it when I bought it.

Allegedly they changed out the seatbelts but I still had the same problem. My grandchild was able to manuver the seatbelt away from her carseat where she was no longersecured in 3 diferent kinds of car seats. She was between the ages of 9 and 15 mos .

The seatbelt issue is the same in all of the Mazda 6's I've seen, yet it is not the same in all Mazda's. The seatbelts in the other Mazdashave a closer fit to the back of the seat and the silver latch does not slide all the way down to the seat itself in other Mazdas the way it does the 6. My assesment is that the placement of the plastic piece that is embedded within strap of the seatbelt is too low which prohibits the seatbelt from properly retracting or fitting as snuggly as it should.

If I sit in my back seat and I latch the belt I am able to turn my whole body around to face the rear window while the belt is latched. I'm about 5'4" 165. This is not safety, plus I've had pieces of the interior pop off--Go figure. As for my tires I was informed that bumper to bumper warranties do not cover tires. They were properly inflated and I had not hit a hazard.My tires are PIRELLI.

i bought my car 10 months a go, its an 04 6s with 38k miles. My car has been wreck, since I bought the car I've had to buy a new motor mount, replace my low pressure a/c line.I spent about 275 fixing them other than that its been a good car.

 

For your seatbelt to work witha child seat (ratchet up tight and stay there), you must pull the belt all the way out first, you will then hear aratcheting noise which is the ALR function (designed to hold the belt tight for child seats.)

I don't think you are using the beltscorrectly.

 

the problem isnt mazda. Its ford. since ford owns mazda and your engine and tranny are built and designed by ford thats why the car sucks.
