Couldn't take it anymore ( the extreme depriciation, the small quality issues and the underperforming V6) and traded our 2006 Mazda6 s Grand Sport on a used'07 Infiniti G35X with 20K, Obsidian Black, premium package, real African Rosewood interior trim and a Bose system worthy of the name. It has style out the wazoo and talk about power, to all 4 wheels!!!
The 6 was a nice car but we never warmed up to it like we have this G35. I am back to looking for excuses to drive it (never did that with the 6), even tho it takes premium gas at $3.50/gal.

 

your 6 must of been a lemon. My 2.3 Liter 6 has been perfect. I know that giving a 6 up for a Infiniti would not be easy. The 6 is just as good as a car minus the bells and pointless whistles, roadnoise. What do you want for a car that is 17,000?

 

'Sorry to hear of your troubles w/the 6, but frankly, it seems that the(Ford DuroTec) V6 is a trouble maker. The more I read about it, the more glad I am I was not in the market for one then, or I might be in your shoesnow.

alot of people were having issues with their mazda6... guess i was lucky and had almost no problems.

 

My 6 with the 3.0l currently has just over 72K on it & the only thing I have had to change is the clutch hose. I guess it is a hit or miss with some of us.
