Hi, I'm not actually looking for help,I found the problem. My 2006 ,6 wagon v6 was missing badly and I was pretty sure it was a fuel pump or filter as the car cut out completely as you would accelerate,it turned out it was a coil not working intermitantly I replaced it and the car purrs,Ive had a lot of cars and I would have sworn it was fuel related as it seemed to be on or off,I assume its because of the accelerater by wire that one misfiring coil can make a 6 cylinder seem to cut out completely with one coil not working properly.I only brought it up so someone else might not replace a fuel pump for nothing.There was no engine light either but when I did a scan it did say number 4 cyl. problem and it was the coil.
