TLDR: Looking for part number/seller of front lower forward control arms for 2006 mazdaspeed 6 manual - specifically the speed 6.

Hi everyone! New here and new to mazda.

I just got a 2006 Mazdaspeed 6 manual and have had a blast working on it so far (she wasn't in the best mechanical shape).

I have hit a snag though, I am trying to locate some front suspension parts but I am having a particularly hard time trying to find a source. Most places don't have a specific way to select speed 6 so you have to select the regular 6 and look at each part to see for which trim it is for. I have been unable to, for the life of me, find lower forward control arms (the ones the struts bolt to) that specify they are for the speed 6 as well as the other control arms (upper and lower rear). I think the only one that is for sure toast is a lower forward on the passenger side.

I have checked OEM Mazda parts web sites, Advanced Auto, Rock Auto, Amazon, etc. The part looks identical in the pictures between the 6 and speed 6 but I still don't want to chance it.

I am at the point of calling the dealership but really don't want to have to pay those prices unless I have to...

Any direction or thoughts are appreciated!

 

Have you rung a Mazda parts department and asked them to compare a Mazda 6 speed ( MPS) and non speed part numbers?
