Default Mazda6 w/ iEloop will get 40 mpg hwy.

Hey all,

I saw this a few hours ago on autoblog.com. Mazda has announced that the Mazda6, when mated to iEloop, will bump the fuel economy ratings up to 28 city/40 hwy. It is currently only going to be offered on the top line Grand Touring trim w/Tech package.

This bodes well for the upcoming Mazda3 as well. With lighter weight and better aerodynamic efficiency, it should already encroach into the low-to-mid 40's on the hwy (with the 2.0 SA). 45 mpg hwy wouldn't be entirely out of the question!
