Mazda6 Sig Manual Mode Shifting Point Mod?
Hey all,
I've got a 2018 Mazda6 Signature (First one ever sold in Colorado!). Not many gripes at all. Love the car. But when using the Manual Shift Mode or Paddles it won't downshift until much lower RPM than would bring it to redline. I can upshift at redline no problem, but downshifting especially into 1st I might as well be at a stop before it will kick down. Now I had a newer rental 2024 Mazda3 that would shift pretty much whenever I wanted it to, and it was much more lively and responsive. Is there some way to get into the system and change the points and/or delete the lockouts? All I get from Dr. Google is recommendations on fluid change intervals, and I'm not about to go through another ridiculously overpriced service.
Thanks,
RD
