they even tried to steal the name G6 vs Mazda 6. It makes you wonder why the GM is going under. I believe the Solstice is also aimed to compete with the Miata. I guess after seeing the Miata sell well for 16 years they finally decided to try it themselves.

Ive always been a fan of Grand Ams but the new G6 is fugly. Theres no comparison between the G6 and Mazda 6. The G6 DOES have more power and TQ but does not come in a manual transmission(That I know of) And it doesn't handle near as good as the M6. Now the Solstice on the other hand....Mmmm I love that car.

news flash, there hasnt been a 6 in a vette since the 50's
the g6 is alright for a car its not a comparable car to a mazda 6
as for a comparo between wich car to buy the mazda or the gm for a performance car with potential to upgrade... the winner would be the g6 with the ecotec motor. there are more parts available for the ecotec that there is for all the motors for the mazda 6
but the solstice has already beaten the miata in a few comparos in a few magazines, and in the next year or two gm is putting a turbo in that solstice
