So im about to get a new car since im graduating. My parents will let me buy any new car with a spending limit of $20,000. But i cant get a sports car because my insurance will be too high. So i was wondering if a Mazda 6i is considered a sports car...for insurance purposes.

 

Since it's a 4cyl with 4 doors. I'm going to go with no. Unless you live in Tawian where all they ride are scooters, in that instance, then yes the 6i is a sports car.

i've got an '06 6i and it's considered a sedan for my insurance.

 

I would say the 6 is a sedan. My advice is to zero down on a few cars you really like and call insurance companies or go online to get quotes on them.

the mazda6 is simply listed as a sedan (sports sedan to be exact, but a sedan is a sedan to insurance agencies). when getting involved with how much insurance will be for your vehicles you choose, list a few and contact your insurance dude, see what is the cheapest and maybe that can help you decide what you want. The prices of sedans are typically all the same for sedans though.

 

Mine is listed as a sedan...nice deal from your parents and the 6i is a great choice my man!
