Default Mazda 6 Carbon Edition Blown Engine

Hi everyone,

New here and I’m very glad I found this forum as it’s kind of a relief that there is a community of Mazda owners that actually is helpful.

I have a 2021 Mazda 6 Carbon Edition in which I have blown the engine. Looking online I’ve seen the engines ranging in price from $2700-$5000. Is there any place to get them at lower prices or is this my best bet? Also– I don’t care much for the turbo and this may be a stupid question, but do I need to buy the turbo engine or would it be possible to replace it with the regular 2.5L somehow? I’ve taken it to a mechanic and they said I definitely need to replace the engine entirely. Please let me know as much information as you guys can. Thank you in advance.

How many miles? as far as I know Mazda Powertrain warranty is 5 years 60000 miles, contact Mazda Corporation, sadly your problem is very common to turbo engines.

Well, sorry and I guess you haven't it maintained at dealership, anyway you got nothing to lose by calling or writing to headquarters, plenty of issues with blown head gasket in both gas and diesel turbo engines, check forums for options.
Ideally yes replace it with another turbo engine, it makes a much easier and clean engine swap if not ECU and many other parts needed to be add and some other delete.
