Default Mazda 6

I have a 2004 Mazda 6 2.3L. I have a couple of questions. First it takes 10 to 15 minutes for the car to warm up. During this time it misses and is very rough. Once it warms up it idles fine. Also, while driving between 1000 and 2500 RPM's it has a knocking noise. once you get past 3500 RPM it smooths out. Sometimes when you let off the gas it sputters and the tach drops to 0 then bounces up to 2500 a few times. Any suggestions/ideas would be greatly appreciated

Get a diagnostic code check carried out. Also, when was the PCM software last updated?
