Default Mazda 6, 2010, 2.2l Diesel stalling when I slow down an press clutch

All,
My Mazda 6, 2010, 2.2l Diesel has started stalling when:
- I slow down approaching junctions from about 30mph to 20mph and I depress the clutch.
- Occasionally when car in at standstill and out of gear.

Pros Info:
- No stalling when driving on motorway
- No change in fuel economy
- No change in performance
- No warning lights are coming on when it stalls.
- I can easily restart instantly with ignition or raising clutch (soft jump start).
- Car has 1yr old battery, 1yr old low ash oil, 1yr old air filter, 3yrs old timing chain.
- I have cleaned the thermocouple bulb on the MAF sensor with correct spray as it was dirty to see if that made a difference, but it did not.
- I have tried removing battery and leaving to re-set cat, but no difference.

Cons Info:
- Can see rev needle suddenly dropping from 800rpm (as the clutch depressed) to 0rpm as it stalls.
- When parked there is engine hunting (800rpm +/50rpm I guess).
- When parked and revd to 2000rpm there is a lot of engine hunting (2000rpm +/200rpm I guess).
- Sometimes hesitation and jerking during acceleration and after upward gearchange

Car going into garage next week, but wondered if any suggestions for this stalling as garage were not sure of cause when I phoned (they are local friendly garage, but not 100% experienced on Maxda).

Reminder that this is a diesel car, not petrol/gas.

Thanks in advance, SFKMAZ
