Default magnaflow exhaust for Speed6

I just recieved my magnaflow exhasut! I am going to install this evening. I was wondering if
anyone else has installed the system themself. I have all the instructions to do it.. seems pretty simple.
On the instruction sheet it does say to disconnet the battery before install so computer can
adjust when start back up. Just wondering if that is the right thing to do..

you should definetly unhook at least one of the battery links when installing a aftermarket part on your car...if not you can really screw the computer up so its better to be safe than sorry

ya that same exact thing happened to me. every time you disconnect the battery the windows stop working like that for a little while but they fix themselves after a few weeks. i know its annoying and weird but it will fix itself.

Do the controls not work all together, or is it just the auto-window controls not working?

when it happened to me (like3 times) only each door could control its corresponding window and none of the auto down or up things worked. but each window will start to work one by one after a little while. first the passenger side, then the rear passenger side, and then the rear drivers side. i still havent figured out why it happens but i think im gonna ask the dealer. but like i said it will fix itself.

Because the windows have a safety feature that stops them when something is in the way you have to reset them every time you disconnect the battery. The fix it, go to each window (using the control on each door) and roll them all the way down and then all the way back up and continue holding up on the control for about 2 seconds. You should here a click. That window will now work from the main control. PITA but not a big deal. I had to do this when I first bought it.
