At 52K 2018, Mazda 6, the leather driver seat leather on the bum and lower back part Rubber
has MELTED(not ripped),the rubbers at the top of windows are falling off and peeled like old wipers, the MAF light has continued to stay on even though it?s been fixed and reset and NOW the DSG doesn?t work- I only used this to drive to and from work- Has had all the maintenance up to date-ANY ADVICE OR SIMILAR ISSUES
The seat and the window rubber are generally caused from extended exposer to the eliminant like direct sun light. The seats can also be damaged if the wrong conditioner or cleaners are used.
Neither is common under what would be defective.
You have not posted near enough information about the DSG, but I can ask at what miles was the first fluid changed?
DTC like PO170 can be caused from more than what the DTC itself indicates. This means that if a mechanic only looked up the DTC and randomly replaced un test parts than the check engine light could not only remain on but if the same mechanic reset the DTC without looking into other areas of the ECU then when the engine went through 1 to several complete engine cycles the DTC would reactivate the check engine light and the DTC would show in the first area checked in a ECU.
Would you call any DTC common SURE... A DTC is meant as a starting point to start looking at possible causes but not necessarily they cause of a problem.
To sum up whom ever worked on your Mazda was not a very good mechanic!
