Default lumpy running and loosing power on 2.2td

hi.
just got my 11 reg mazda 6 180 sport 2 weeks ago from the car shop in norwich and im now having problems and would like some ideas before i take it back, my problems are under exseleration it feels lumpy going up the revs and dosent feel like the turbo is always boosting properly and other times its really quick, at lite throtle it can feel like your on and off the pedal even tho your not. my local garage has checked and there are no codes on the ecu. they have said the fuel filter looks old but i thout that would of been changed at 1 of its services by now 59.000 miles.
thanks mark
