Mazda6 This powerful new sedan offers a sporty feel and stout engine, all without compromising the ability to seat 5.

Default Low Beam Headlights only work when uninstalled from housing. Need some help.

So my sister owns a 2016 Mazda 6 and earlier this week she started her car and neither low beam headlight would turn on. High beam, fog lights, and all other lights worked fine. The bulbs were replaced 3 months ago and had been working fine up until this point. All associated fuses and relays were fully functional and I wiggled around the connections to make sure there was a good contact. After checking the electronic side of things I decided to check if the bulb was blown even though it would be rare for both to fail at once. This is where things got kind of weird. After turning the bulb about halfway off it suddenly turned on and stayed on upon removal. The other side was the same but the light blew about 2 seconds after turning on. I got a new pair of lights just in case and they are having the same issue where they work when uninstalled but will immediately turn off when fully seated in the housing. I don't know if it is some type of grounding issue or maybe a malfunctioning headlight control module? I know some stuff about electronics but am no expert so I could really use some suggestions for trying to sort out this electrical gremlin.
