Sorry ill start again.
So i have a Mazda 6 sport wagon 2007.
I have fitted a LED light bar which works very well, but for simplicity i decided to try a pre made wiring harness from a well known Australian trade parts supplier with a local shop front.
The guy said i just needed the harness and the light bar and the number plate mount. I gave him make, model year and rego number. he forgot to seal me the head light adaptor.
So now i had the lot.
Ignite wiring harness is a IWH001 AND the adaptor is a IWH006 for H1 high beam it easy enough to fit but the water proof plug didn't fit the HULK light bar, but the light bar had a multi use plug so just cut and solder.
The rocker switch is to big for the 6 dash so i will change that today hopefully.
As you can see the adaptor in the photo has a large eyelet which i assumed would be for earth. As the 6 light assembly has no bolt earth in there i lengthened it to the earth point behind the washer bottle. (this could be my problem as it wasn't labeled and i "assumed"
So now it doesn't work legally for NSW. The light bar works only with the lights on, but isn't switched off and on by the high beam (arm in the car). so you have to manually operate rocker switch while driving at night.
For medical reasons i had to get a mate help with install on this one. There is no instructions just labels on each end of the harness. but every thing appear correct.
So has anyone successfully wired a light bar in ,in Australia to comply with the legal requirements.
I have searched here, google, Mazda fb page, you tube but they all are operate incorrectly. the Ignite page has very little info as well. Other light pages my not be correct as they don't use this harness. I will contact the suppler to day but if you can help would be great.
