I want to put the JDM mesh grille in my '04 6. The only problem is, is that i cant find a steel gray metallic one. So i was thinking that i could buy just a black one, buy some of the gray touchup spraypaint for the 6, paint it and put it in. Would this work?

 

i wouldnt go the spray paint route. take it to a body shop and have them spray and clear it. youll regret spray painting an exterior part down the line. i paint cars for a living and i see it alll the time lol. im getting the carbon fiber one and im going to mask out the center part and leave it carbon fiber and paint the surrounding silver like my car. but yeah get it painted at a body shop if you want the BEST results.

 

Do you have a pic of the grill you're looking to buy? I'm looking myself to buy one but haven't decided which one yet. I'm leaning toward a chromed out oem one.
