the cover over the fuse box on the right side of the driver's compartment keeps falling off. Is this a common issue? Is there an easy fix? Service manager said "poor design" but I do not accept that.

 

I had the same issue with my 6. Actually when I picked up the car from the dealer it was missing that piece. The dealer got me a new one and it has not fallen off.

 

I bought a pre-owned 2005 and the fuse box cover was missing. Haven't goten a reaplcement yet, but is sounds like this is a fairly common problem that they come off.

 

Sounds like both of you guys should raise some hell at the dealership to get new covers...

Of course, I meant the fuse box cover on the left side of the compartment

 

Are you talking about just the little cover door that falls off or the entire kick panel?

 

The fuse cover on my '03 6s falls off about twice a year. Not nearly enough to worry much about it.

 

I have to put it back in place everyday. Or I just toss it on the side and place it back when I pull aside. I drive with my left foot away from the side... always conscious of it...ridiculous.... Hope to get another from the dealer... should be under warranty right

 

When I bought mine it was missing it as well...They got me a new one and it has been fine ever since...knock on wood!
