Default Im Loosing Hydraulic steering fluid! Please help

Can anyone help?
I have been slowly loosing the hydraulic fluid, a leak maybe? Recently got a lot worse, topping it up weekly now. I have no signs at all of a leak, nothing on the floor, no leaks from gaskets on the pump, I don't know where its going. I was told that the gaiters were probably filling up and holding the fluid?
I have had some quotes to change the steering rack, cheapest is £1200.00!!!
is it a difficult job to change it myself? All these questions, Please help

Thanks

Steve

Hmmmmml... it has to go somewhere.

It's a long shot, but perhaps the pump is leaking at the front seal and the fluid is being slung while you're driving. Take a look around the (drive) front of the engine, as well as along the floor pan just behind and see if the fluid is being thrown.

Could also be the R&P or a hose.
