2020 Mazda 6 with 75k miles had a check engine light come on. Code I got was P0126. I noticed it was low on coolant. I topped it off and deleted the code. The check engine light has not come back on since that time, and it’s been a few days. For the life of me I couldn’t find a leak until last night. It’s seems to be very slight as it was dry and not wet after it was driven. I just don’t know what the part is called nor could I find it on the Mazda coolant diagram. It seems to be the nipple that one of the hoses coming or going from the heater core connects. It’s directly in the back of the engine. I’ve attached pics and hoping someone can identify it. I circled the area where I found the leak and took two different pic angles. It’s a certified used Mazda and was wondering if this was covered under power train.The part itself doesn’t look that difficult to replace. I did read a lot about coolant issues with this model,
but it doesn’t seem to be coming from the head gasket rather the nipple circled. Any ideas?
Rinse off the engine and reconfirm where the leak "may" be coming from.
The DTC is a starting point to look for issues. Clearing that DTC in your specific Mazda only turned off the check engine light. If you go look in the permanent ECU file are that DTC is likely there and will remain there and active until the problem is corrected.
You don't fill a tooth cavity with gum and call it fixed. LOL
Would also need to to know the engine size of your Mazda? The part you are asking about may have more than one part and part description.

BTW a little observation... your engine compartment really needs a bath. Not sure why owners seem to never want to do a simple water rinsing every now and again? You will not harm any part, and the electrical connection are weather sealed. Just don't blast the water on the fuse box. Common sense!
