Default I got 2 grand to spend

I got 2,000 to spend for upgrades to my 05 Mazda 6 6cyl....i already have a cat-back magnaflow exhaust and a AEM intake. what would be the next best way to increase horsepower. Include labor into that as I won't be able to do the work myself.

Headers would be the next logical step the MSDS headers can be found here. There, used to be a CPe long-tube option, but they seem to have stopped producing them.

Default Headers

I see it says NEW 2006+....then 2003+...anyway...I've been told by some that headers would only be good if I planned on boosting it or required any other higher air flow, otherwise it would be a waste...

headers are one of the best places to gain power. the v6 exhaust is extremely restrictive, so it would free up some back pressure. also, if you boosted it, all that you would need is a turbo manifold. you wouldn't need long tube headers unless you went with a back-mount kit.

Who the hell told you that? Our headers are super restrictive. All angles are at 90 deg, and there are pre cats in them, though you will need o2 simulators to run them and not throw a CAI. Besides, I'm pretty sure that to go turbo you'd get rid of the headers since you need to tap into the exhaust in order to spin up the turbos. For a major boost in power, there is a SC system that is being finalized though you are looking at 6k or so for the whole shebang (sc, aftercooler, new hood, & tuner).
