My battery light came on one day after my husband jumped his car with mine. I made it to work okay that day but once I turned off the car I tried to restart and nothing. I figured I would need a jump when it was time to leave work. I went out and tried the car and it started right up. On my way home almost every dash light came on, systems started to shut down(radio, lights flickering and the car would not leave 3rd gear.) I got it to an Autozone to have them test the battery/alternator. Battery was totally drained so I had them charge it so they could test the alternator. It was reading below 12V with the fully charged battery we figured new alternator needed. I took it to the shop they replaced the alternator about 3 weeks ago. The battery light has came on and off still and sometimes the car wont leave 3rd gear. This morning we are back at square 1, I was on the freeway the card dropped out of 4th to 3rd and a bunch of dash lights started lighting up the radio shut off a buzzing noise with the flashers on and car would hardly move. I was able to get off the freeway and get parked somewhere safe and the car died and will not restart.
