Disconnect the battery ground cable for 10-15 minutes, see if that helps, does it run better with the maf unplugged?

Hi. Ive tried the battery several times. I had a mechanic mate of mine check it out with the maf unplugged and he said it drove ok with it unplugged. Hence why I got a new one. But no change. Thanks for replying.

Just unplugged it myself and yes it solves the problem. Obviously it has something to do with the maf sensor. But I have changed the maf so could the fault be the wiring to it maybe.

You have no check engine light? What that tells me drives "better" with the maf unpluged is the ecm is using old data is not recognizing the maf data, if you have a scanner see if there is any codes, with that you should have cel.

No there is no engine light. Well there is now but when I unplug the batt again that will clear. There is no fault codes. I had it plugged in at a garahe when they did the spark
plugs

You should run the car, off, on several times. If you have an issue it will show up, don't unplug the battery, read the code. Unplugging the battery clears everything.

Where will the code be. I just thought the engine light came on because I unplugged the maf.

Just to save confusion , the only time time the engine light comes on Is when I unplug the maf. No other time at all.

With all conditions "normal" drive it, turn key off, start run, off several times. If the ecm recognizes a problem it should flag the cel.
