Just wondering how to adjust the headlight beams on a mazda 6. I know that you can't do it from outside the car. So do I need to take the housing out or do I do it from inside the engine compartment?

 

Have you looked in your owner's manual?

There should be a screw mechanism (one for up/down, one for side/side) Pop open the hood and take a look behind the lights.

You can adjust up and down but not side to side on this application. I guess they fiqure that if you are off side to side then something is bent. Drawing below not very descriptive of location of screw so took a pic of the left side adjust screw with orange arrow pointing to it. Right side looks the same. Clockwise will raise them, counterclockwise will lower. #1 phillips screwdriver seems to work the best. #2 is a little to fat to fit down in the hole. Not sure if that procedure is in the owners manual.
