You have daytime running lamps? I didn't think the mazda's came with them! But to turn and shut them off is on the control arm, on the left of the steering wheel.

assuming you're talking about the Daytime Running Lights that are always on when the car is running? If so, they're not easily disabled. There are some posts if not on this forum perhaps on Mazda6Club.com about disabling the DRL's.
One word of caution: I don't know where you live but if DRL's are required by your federal laws (like in Canada) disabling them will get you lots of unwanted attention from law enforcement.

Default Head Lights

I just brought a 2014 Mazda CX-5 and I love it. My only problem is, When I turn on the head lights and switch off the car and forget to turn the lights off they don't beep or give any warning that I left the lights on. One day they were on a whole day while I was on the job 10 Hours. I am glad that it is new and has a new battery. Any help would be appreciated.

Seriously, if your headlights were on for 10 hours your battery would be dead, new or not.
Maybe they did shut off automatically and came back on when you started car.

Normally I consider myself bright. This is the first vehicle that I have that dont have a warning of leaving the lights on. Anyway I thought I would test to see. Yes they did go out by themselves.
thank you.
