Default FRONT side (PARKING) LIGHTS

I have a 2007 Mazda 6 Sport Diesel.
The front side lights have stopped working.
I have checked the bulbs which are fine.
I thought it must be a fuse and looked at the fuse box under the bonnet.
The owner's manual indicates that the same fuse protects the tail/stop/number plate and parking lights. This fuse is OK. The rear lights are working but go out if I pull this fuse so it certainly covers the rear circuit.
I have also looked at the fuse box in the front passenger area but nothing there seems to relate to the side lights.
Am I missing something?
Does anyone know how I can get the front lights back on.
