Default RE: fiestone

Never had work done there. I prefer to do service work myself, although I have found a local mechanic that does good work and has reasonable prices. Knowing cars, it's easy for me to smell a rat when they are trying to pull something over on me. I've had other places (I believe it was Midas) try to convince me to have a ton of repairs done that weren't needed. Not sure if the front room guys work off of commission or what.

I always bring my own parts in to the mechanic as well and have them install the parts, rather than have them try to figure out what the issue is and just start replacing parts until they hit the right one. (Again, knowing cars, I can usually pinpoint the problem from the symptoms.)
