Sorry to revive this thread, but is there any chance you have a part number for just the cover plate? 11 mazda2 de with the same issue. Still works while pressing down on L/R, but it's starting to feel worse. Whole unit with window switches is $$ (way cheaper for aftermarket ones on aliexpress-- wary of quality, but maybe worth stealing the mirror switch off..)Originally Posted by grim_reaper
Its a known fault for the switch to fail, if you put pressure on the L/R switch with 1 finger while pressing the direction switch & it works then you can by just the cover plate for the switch from your mazda dealer, its cheaper than buying a entire switch.I've replaced heaps of them under warranty. Wouldn't really care if the mirrors would keep their position.. Every time I fold/unfold them, I need to readjust. Is that normal for these cars?

Unfortunately the replacement panel is no longer available, the only option is to buy the complete switch assembly.
