Did grand touring trims exist in 2004? And pre-cat.
Hello. I am looking to buy a 2004 - 2006 mazda6. There are very little here in my city. I have found one in good condition but I have a question. The seller posts it as a 2004 Mazda6 Grand Touring. I was in kbb.com to check the price and there are no grand tourings in 2004 models, only 2005 and above. I am interested in it but he says the paper work all say grand touring so it should be a grand touring.
I would Like to know if maybe at the end of 2004 models they started with the sport and grand touring models. Or if it could just be the 6i model with all options selected and they called it grand touring.
The reason I would like to know is because he is a reseller and I can tell he does not know much about the car. Everytime I asked a question like if it had a bose sound system (I noticed it did), he would say, "Ill have to check on that".
One other question that is not as important. Do these 4 cilinder models not have a pre-cat? The car does have a cat failure (it is not needed here, but I like to have everything as it should be). I have been searching for pre-cat prices, but all I can find is the cat that goes under the car. I know my pre-cat, and 6 cilinder pre cats are connected to the exhaust manifold.
Thanks for any help!
