Default Cruise control on a Mazda 6 2.3

Hey guys, ilm currently in the process of instalment of cruise control on my GY 2006 2.3 4x4 automatic transmission. I've gotten the wheel keys, I've checked the throttle valve - it's not with a cord. I've checked the dashboard - lights are there and are showing on the test screen and I checked the break switch - it's with two pins, not four. I'll be ordering a new one with four pins, but I saw that there are only two wires connected to this break switch connector and I'm not sure if there should be 4. If yes then where do the other 2 come from and can you point me to what should I do?

That plug should be a short cord, if you follow it up there will be be 4 wires, you either need to replace that short cord, or rewire it with the four wires ( which I did with my Atenza ), once its done, you need to reprogram the PCM to enable cruise control.

So you mean that there should be 4 wires, but only two of them are visible to the plug? My PCM has cruise enabled, I only need to figure out these wires and it should work.

Yes.
If you follow the wires backwards from that plug you should find 4 wires.

You've literally revived my hope! I'll try and trace them later today to see if this is correct. If there are 4, I simply need to replace the plug ( so it can hold all 4 ) and get a new brake switch to work with that plug?
