Default Could use some advice with mods on my 6i

I just recently bought a 2006 6i due to the fact i needed gas mileage. Now i've never been able to leave well enough alone so now i want to upgrade this car a bit. I've never owned a car before so therefore i don't know much (I miss my hemi). I've been reading this forum and have come up with a few ideas but any advice or direction would be appreciated. If possible i would like to jump this thing to about 200 hp. I know with trucks and V8 engines you have CAI, throttle body spacers, and etc. If someone could guide me in the right direction that would be great. Also a link to some places to purchase interior, exterior, and engine mods that are legit would be nice.

well with a cold air intake, performance exhaust system and some racing headers, you problably would be around 200hp. That would make a decently fast car plus you should still get 26 mpg in the city!

Thanks for that tid bit of knowledge. Can't believe i hadn't thought of headers... geez.

NOW... next question. I live in podunk Missouri about an hour from civilization so shops where i can get these things are few and far between if not non existent. What is some reputable sites where i can get the cai and headers over the net? Yes I know... i'm being needy.

Hey, What's Up... I have a 03 M6s and i bought my Cai from E-bay. I was also having a hard time finding a cai for my ride so i thought of e-bay cause they have everything. There are several makers for the Cai. The one i had purchased is made by Bomz Racing and let me tell you, it made a hell of a difference. Stock, i have 220hp and it feels like it added another 15-20 hp. boosting me to 235-240 hp

I'm getting warmer with finding sites on the net. I did find a place that sells factory spoilers with factory color codes for half the price of the dealer. Joys of having an easy job. I sit and play on the net half the day. 69 if I come across anything good I'll let you know. We're kind of in the same boat here!!!

Does anyone know how to modify the air box?

Order from our sponser tunerfix. They sell exhaust setups, intakes, fuel management, and basically all you need.

yeah i was just about to say check our sponsers first and order from them, or just search name brand companies, btw two things one i found both a short ram and CAI for all Mazda 6's except the MazdaSpeed for AEM, and second DONT get racing headers unless you plan on making your car for track only, cuz right on them they say "for off-road use only" meaning you cant use them for a D&D car only for events like track, circut, drift, or other.
