Clunking sound coming from dashboard at startup

This is a really specific sound, someone must know what it is, right?
I turn the key to ON and after that, a sortof rhythmic clunking sound sequence happens 3 times. Very curious:

Possibly the airbag priming itself on startup...

Definitely not the airbag.

Most likely one of the heater flap actuators playing up.
