Default CEL Mazda 6 2006 code P2402

Mazda 6 4cylinder with 50K miles. CEL comes on last few weeks. No engine issues. I did change the spark plugs after this stared. The plugs' pins were almost gone.
How are the CEL codes read? If equipment must be bought, where? And what are the meanings of the codes once I read them? Thanks.
Later
Code is P2402. Not in my service manual but Autozone shows:
"BBEVAP leak detection pump control circuit high"

Go to autozone, they can pull the codes for free. After that, if the code isn't self explanatory, come back on here and post it up, we'll do what we can to help you.

So cool. Autozone found P2402, not in the service manual that I have but their system says:
BBEVAB leak detection pump control circuit high
probably cause:
BB1 open or short circuit condition
BB2 poor electrical connection
BB3 Failed leak detection pump
We assume this is a pump to the gas vapor canister trap system?
Thanks for your assistance.
