Red face Cabin Airfilters

Just got a call from my daughter and the dealer wants to charge her $150.00 to change the cabin airfilters. Can someone tell me where they are located on a 2005 Mazda 6? Any help would be appreciated!

Default lol. Are you kidding me..

wow. $150.. It takes about 3 minutes to install. It is in the glove compartment. Open your glove compartment. Your will see a rectangular box with some tabs. Open that and you will see the filter. Carefully remove the filter and install the new one. Just be careful because the tabs on the cover break easily. You can buy new filters on ebay for $10.

I got 2 filters for $16 on line... just shop around and get the cheapest priced ones with the lowest shipping. It literally took me all of 45 seconds to get the old one out and the new one in. The hardest part is getting the rubber band strap thingy the keeps the door flap from falling all the way open hooked back up. I gave up and just left it unhooked. $150 is WAY too much! Actually, the stealer charging you any more than what the filter costs is highway robbery!!!

Thumbs up Cabin Airfilters

Thanks guys! I hate sending her to the dealer! SHe lives 75miles from me and I can't always get there. I can't imagine that she went in for a dead battery and they checked the Cabinair filter.! That is BS!
