Default A/C vent

Hey

Does anyone know how to take A/c vent out in dashboard? My drunk husband kicked it and a part came off, so it is not moving like it's supposed to.

Thanks

One of the outboard registers or one of the 3 above the radio. I could post some picks for you tomorrow when I'm at work. It's not very hard.

Grab it with both hands as I have shown in this pic and pull straight out. You'll probably pull out either just the inner register, or the inner and the outer together. No big deal either way. If the inner and outer come out as an assembly, just make sure to align the 2 ribs (pointing at them in the second pic) with the notch inside the opening in the Instrument panel when you are putting everything back together.

If you can't figure out exactly how to get the vanes back together, just reply to this thread with another pic showing the configuration of the fingers/tabs hanging off of the AC register vanes and I'll walk you through putting it back together.

Thank you thank you. My husband looked at this and fixed it for me. [sm=smiley15.gif]

Thanks again!
