Default Brake pedal grind?

Hi people, I'm new to the forum. I just bought a 2004 Mazda6 s. Its in almost perfect condition. There's just one thing I was hoping you guys could help me with. The brake pedal is kind of funky. The car stops on a dime, and the pads aren't worn yet, but there's a bit of a grinding feeling/sound from the pedal. It seems like its all in the pedal, perhaps some kind of spring or cable? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Have then flush the brake fluid and your problem should go away.
