I see they make a balance shaft delete and baffle for the speed 2.3, does it work for the non turbo engines? We have a noise that sounds like a rod knock and metal in the pan, but I don't see any damage to the rod bearings so I suspect the balance shaft or oil pump.

 

Removing the balance shaft has more negative attributes than positive. It not worth it. Do the research and confirm their credentials before doing that project.
