Default Anyone own the new Mazda6? Gas mileage?

Hello all,

I own a 2007 6 2.3L auto. I get around 24mpg. I was wondering if anyone has the new 6 with the 2.5? auto? What kind of all around mileage are you averaging?

Thank!

Hi I just bought me self a Mazda 6 Diesel Sports Hatch www.mazda6.com.au and i have racked up 800km of normal driving sticking to the speed limit on highways which here is 110km/h and in town which is 50km/h and the trip computer reports 5.9litres per 100km which is 48 mpg.. the car is absolutly brilliant with 400nm tourque at just 1800rpm this baby really kicks ***, at 110km per hours it is ticking over at the same 1800rpm and using 4litres per 100km.

Hergy,

You are very lucky! I wish we had the diesel option here in the US...

We're getting in the low 20's with our 6 cylinder, but it only has about 1,200 miles. I imaging it will improve slightly as it gets more miles.

First tank (400 miles total on vehicle) I got just at 25 mpg. All urban driving. 09 4 cyl auto. It should get better as it goes along.
