Default air bag sensor

Are the seatbelt buckles deployable with the airbag? The seat belt itself is, but i do not know if the buckles are.On a 2007 mazda 6, any help is appreciated. By the way the airbag light is flashing 4 then 2 If anyone knows what that means.

I was told by an air bag company that, on some models the seatbelt buckles will lock when the airbag goes off and will have to be replaced. Any way i found the problem, the people who fixed the car forgot to plug in the front crash sensor. Problem solved.

Most German cars has individual explosive device to tightenthe seatbelt, i.e. pull you back, when the airbags pop. So it's not the buckles, but the fireworks in the seatbelt wheels that have to be replaced. I think an unused seatbelt won't fire up, otherwise it will cause a forutne to reload them all.

They're called pyrotechnic pre-tensioners. The way his question was worded is what confused me....

You can tell if your vehicle hasthem by there being a long cylindrical tube hanging off of the seatbelt buckle running parallel to the seat track.
