Default 3 or 6?

hello my name is Dee...I was wondering what are the advantages on the 6 over the 3 and is it as fast as it says it is....basically i am in the market for this type of car....what happened was last sunday i totalled my 03 Cavalier LS Sport Sedan...the worse thing about it is that i had just modded my suspension..i had front and rear strut bars, and rear sway bar, engine mounts...i also had a full exhaust that i was going to put on this week!...headers all the way back 2.25" magnaflow....

well after all that i am looking into a mazda, i like that they have the shift tronic....i just would like to know from people who already own the car what are the pro's and cons'...

thanks any replies are appreciated!

I love the 6: great handling and very decent power (in the v6). Basically the 3 is a bit smaller and has no v6 engine option. Depending on the options on either, size and design may be the only noticeable difference. My advice would be to drive both back to back and see if there is anything you notice as a significant difference. Also, you may want to research the aftermarket for both cars if you have any mods in mind. The aftermarket for the 6 tends to be a little slim (especially comapred to a Cavalier), I'm not sure about the 3.

I sat in both before opting for the 6; the 3 is nice, but the doors were thinner and the cabin narrower.. plus with the drivers seat back, forget rear occupants.

Dee- I have a 6S 5-Door, loaded w/leather, sunroof, sport package, Volcanic Red. It is a very slick car for the money, the 3 is nice but not as roomy or smooth riding (though better than just about anything else it's size). One reccomendation: if your are getting an automatic, go for an '05 with the 6 speed; mine is an '04 5-speed and it has some funky behavior from time to time, esp. on the 1-2 upshift. I hear the 6 speed is much impoved. Otherwise, fun driving car and no problems @ 8600 mi.

the 6 definitely is the better choice if you ask me... more room to store objects. Very nice for a subwoofer system in the back trunk, not to mention all of my fire rescue gear that needs to be lugged around all day long.

To tell you the truth I test drove both and I believe the 6 is the way to go the 3 can not touch it at all.
