I have a 2020 Mazda 3 that I just purchased not too long ago and immediately put this in and change it every year.

I drive 11,000 miles a year and have done this in 4 other vehicles since 2006 and have had no issues and even less oil burning up/consumption. If you are worried then go by what the manual says but I find it a hassle to go get an oil change frequently.

You answered your own question: Mazda does not make a recommendation on the topic, for your vehicle.

The Non synthetic will be fine .. contrary to OPIONON on forums. All one has to do is compare the real DATA information about OIL PERFOANMCE. And unless a auto manufacture uses the word "REQUIRED" it is all about recommendation which is a slippery way of making some believe they "MUST"

Preference, I use AMZOIL for years and have been a Distributor off and on since the early 80's so I know all about AMZOIL.
AMZOIL is a good oil, (expensive) but I would still check your oil by way of analysis at the mid-point of AMZOIL's claims.
