Default 2017 Mazda 6 Touring problems?

I am considering purchasing a 2017 Mazda 6 Touring with a 6-speed auto. I have seen several posts on this forum regarding problems with the 6-speed auto on older Mazda 6's. I also saw that transmission issues is the most common complaint about the 2016 Mazda 6 on carcomplaints.com. Are these transmissions still an issue? What are other common issues to consider?

I am also considering a Camry SE, which is boring but seems to be bullet-proof.

I don't recall any issues with the 6 speed auto boxes.

Buy one with a 6-Speed Manual; the new SkyActiv manual is a joy to drive and shift.

Thanks. I would love to if it were just for me, but my wife has to be able to drive it, too, and I gave up a long time ago on trying to teach her to drive a manual.

Bummer; we were down to only one car with a manual for a few years and my wife and our son were always vying for who got that car for the day. Now that we have five cars between the three of us, and four of those five have manual transmissions, we're good to go.
