I know this has been asked thousands of times but my speakers are SHOT and I have to do something.
I believe the OEM speakers are Part Number: NE6166960 but when I try to find them, I keep seeing that they are no longer available.

Did Bose do away with these speakers?
Has anyone SUCCESSFULLY replaced these speakers without having to add an additional amplifier or changing out the head unit?

I have been looking for months and with the weather getting warmer, I would like to get this done.

I am open to any / all recommendations!!!

I'm in the UK, I'm currently having my speakers replaced on my 2015 both fronts shot, I'm lead to believe that there is a new speaker design to replace the stock ones, when it comes back I'm going to put some acoustic matting on the inside of the doors, I will get the part number and put it up here unless someone can give you the details sooner.
I hate the bose speakers so much they failed in my 2013 as well, the weak link is the spider on the back that rusts and corrodes then they de-laminate awesome design 🙄
